    That Boneless Thingy

    Behind enamel blocks, therein it lies,
    It moves in all directions clock and anti-clockwise
    If used correctly, it can cause ranks to rise
    But shooting without aiming could lead to your demise.

    A small piece of flesh without a bone in sight,
    It can cure friendship and also incite fights,
    Then cowardly behind your teeth, safely it sits tight
    And YOU get a jab and a hook from the right.

    It bears witness about Allah and His Prophets
    The hereafter is where you’ll see the real profits
    It remembers Allah plentiful, but think nothing of it
    It recites the Quran wonderful, so start and you’ll love it.

    It also has a bitter side
    If it boasts and talks with pride,
    You’ve backbitten if you speak but hide
    It’s called slander if you lied,
    Abusive language leaves eyes wide
    Make an effort, make truth your bride.

    “He who keeps quite, gains salvation”
    “Backbiting is worse than fornication”
    That’s our Prophet’s declaration
    Please take into consideration
    Take time out for contempletion
    About Allah, Lord of all creation.

    It recites Quran to gain reward,
    Use it for speeches, make it your sword.
    Anything that will please the Lord,
    To waste precious time, that we can’t afford.

    With Allah's name begin your day,
    Remember Him while you work or play
    Keep evil doings out of your way
    On the straight path you will stay.
    If it sings, change it to nasheeds
    Pick up an Islamic book to read.

    Most important repeat your creed,
    For the Hereafter sow your seed
    For that day you’ll need every good deed.
    Use it to supplicate, use it to repent
    At the All-Mighty’s doorstep, drop and lament
    Solely for worship is why we were sent

    Let not Satan be an impediment
    And keep Allah’s remembrance immanent.
    Keep Muslims safe from its attack
    Be they red or be they black
    Disunity is the biggest drawback

    So keep the unity free from slack
    Oh Allah!
    Keep us on the straight track.
    Its correct usage whoso guarantees
    And of that between his knees.

    The Prophet will make certain he sees
    Our entry into Paradise with ease.
    A humble effort, not a song
    An attempt to pass a message on
    It can do good, it can do wrong

    Object of Despair

    Emma is a lawyer
    And so is Aisha too
    Colleagues going into court
    At circa half past two

    Its 1 O'clock right now
    They grab a bite before the trial
    They chat about this and that
    Conversing with a smile

    Aisha is in full hijab
    With a loose all over suit
    Emma's in her business wear
    With accessories to boot

    Emma's really quite bemused
    At Aisha's godly ways
    She looks Aisha in the eyes
    And very firmly says

    You're a smart girl Aisha
    Why do you wear that across your hair?
    Subjugated by "man"-kind
    An object of despair

    Take it off my sister
    Let your banner be unfurled
    Don't blindly follow all around
    DECLARE YOUR FREEDOM TO THE WORLD

    Aisha is amazed
    But not the least bit shy
    She bravely puts her milk shake down
    And gives Emma the reply

    My dear sister Emma,
    Why do you dress the way you do?
    The skirt you're wearing round your waist,
    Is it really you?

    Now that we've sat down,
    I see you tug it across your thighs,
    Do you feel ashamed?
    Aware of prying eyes?

    I see the way you're sitting,
    Both legs joined at the knees,
    Who forces you to sit like that?
    Do you feel at ease?

    I'll tell you who obliges you,
    To dress the way you do,
    Gucci, Klein and St. Laurent,
    All have designs on you!

    In the main, its men my friend,
    Who dictate the whims of fashion,
    Generating all the garb,
    To incite the basest passion

    "Sex Sells" there is no doubt,
    But who buys with such great haste,
    The answer is the likes of you,
    Because they want to be embraced......

    They want to be accepted,
    On a level playing field
    Sure, with brain and intellect
    But with body parts revealed

    Intelligence and reason
    Are useful by and by
    But if you want to make a mark
    Stay appealing to the eye

    You claim your skirt is office like
    A business dress of sorts
    Would we not laugh at Tony Blair
    If he turned up in shorts?

    His could be the poshest pants
    Pinstripe from Saville Rowe
    But walking round like that my friend
    He'd really have to go

    Why do you douse yourself with creams
    To make your skin so milky?
    Why do rip off all your hair
    To keep your body silky?

    A simple shower's all you need
    To stay respectable and clean
    The time and money that you spend
    Is really quite obscene

    Why do you wake up at dawn,
    To apply a firm foundation,
    Topped with make up and the like,
    In one chaotic combination?

    And if you should have to leave the house
    Devoid of this routine
    Why do you feel so insecure
    That you should not be seen?

    Be free my sister Emma
    Escape from your deep mire
    Don hijab today my friend
    And all Islam's attire

    Avoid all those sickly stares
    Or whistles from afar
    Walk down the street with dignity
    Take pride in who you are

    Strength lies in anonymity
    Be a shadow in the crowd
    Until you speak and interact
    When your voice will carry loud

    You're a smart girl Emma
    Wear this across your hair
    Don't be subjugated by "man"-kind
    An object of despair

    What a Bad Servant we are!

    words of Hasan al-Basree rahimahullaah

    From Ghunyat-ut-Talibeen of Shaykh 'Abdul-Qaadir al-Jeelaani rahimahullaah
    Al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah bestow His mercy upon him)] said:


    "What a bad servant [of the Lord] is he! I am speaking of a servant who fits the following description:

    1. He asks for forgiveness (maghfirah), while he is actively engaged in sinful disobedience (ma'siya).

    2. He behaves in a humbly submissive manner, so that he may be credited with loyalty (amana), but he is only pretending, to hide his disloyalty (khiyanah).

    3. He forbids what is wrong, but does not refrain from it himself.

    4. He enjoins what is right, but does not act upon his own instructions.

    5. If he gives, he does so very stingily, and if he withholds, he offers no apology.

    6. If he is in the best of health, he feels secure, but if he falls sick, he becomes remorseful.

    7. If he is impoverished, he feels sad, and if he gets rich, he is subject to temptation.

    8. He hopes for salvation, but does not act accordingly.

    9. He is afraid of punishment, but takes no precautions against it.

    10. He wishes to receive more benefit, but he does not give thanks [for what he has received].

    11. He likes the idea of spiritual reward, but he does not practice patience.

    12. He expedites sleep and postpones fasting"

    Pengorbanan Ibu

    Orang kata aku lahir dari perut ibu..
    Bila dahaga, yang susukan aku.. ibu
    Bila lapar, yang suapkan aku..ibu
    Bila keseorangan, yang sentiasa di sampingku.. ibu
    Kata ibu, perkataan pertama yang aku sebut.. Bu!
    Bila bangun tidur, aku cari.. ibu
    Bila nangis, orang pertama yang datang ..ibu
    Bila nak bermanja... aku dekati ibu
    Bila nak bergesel... aku duduk sebelah ibu
    Bila sedih, yang boleh memujukku hanya ibu
    Bila nakal, yang memarahi aku... ibu
    Bila merajuk... yang memujukku cuma..ibu
    Bila melakukan kesalahan... yang paling cepat marah..ibu
    Bila takut... yang tenangkan aku.. ibu
    Bila nak peluk... yang aku suka peluk..ibu

    Aku selalu teringatkan ..Ibu
    Bila sedih, aku mesti talipon... Ibu
    Bila seronok... orang pertama aku nak beritahu... Ibu
    Bila bengang.. aku suka luah pada ..Ibu
    Bila takut, aku selalu panggil.. "ibuuuuuuuuuuuuu! "
    Bila sakit, orang paling risau adalah ..Ibu
    Bila nak exam, orang palin g sibuk juga Ibu
    Bila buat hal, yang marah aku dulu..Ibu
    Bila ada masalah, yang paling risau.. Ibu

    Yang masih peluk dan cium aku sampai hari ni.. Ibu
    Yang selalu masak makanan kegemaranku. . Ibu
    Yang selalu simpan dan kemaskan barang-barang aku, Ibu
    Yang selalu berleter kat aku.. Ibu
    Yang selalu puji aku.. Ibu
    Yang selalu nasihat aku.. Ibu

    Bila nak kahwin..
    Orang pertama aku tunjuk dan rujuk... Ibu

    Aku ada pasangan hidup sendiri
    Bila seronok... aku cari pasanganku
    Bila sedih... aku cari Ibu
    Bila berjaya... aku ceritakan pada pasanganku
    Bila gagal... aku ceritakan pada Ibu
    Bila bahagia, aku peluk erat pasanganku
    Bila berduka, aku peluk erat Ibuku
    Bila nak bercuti... aku bawa pasanganku
    Bila sibuk... aku hantar anak ke rumah Ibu
    Bila sambut valentine... Aku hadiahi bunga pada pasanganku
    Bila sambut hari ibu... aku cuma dapat ucapkan Selamat Hari Ibu
    Selalu... aku ingat pasanganku
    Selalu... Ibu ingat kat aku
    Bila..bila... aku akan talipon pasanganku
    Entah bila.. aku nak talipon Ibu
    Selalu... aku belikan hadiah untuk pasanganku
    Entah bila.... aku nak belikan hadiah untuk Ibuku

    Renungkan:


    Dulu Ibu kata: "Kalau kamu sudah habis belajar dan berkerja... bolehkah kamu kirim wang untuk Ibu? Ibu bukan nak banyak... lima puluh ringgit sebulan pun cukuplah".

    Berderai air mata. Hari ini kalau Ibu mahu lima ratus sebulan pun aku mampu. Aku boleh kirimkan. Tapi Ibu sudah tiada.

    ingatlah pengorbanan ibuuuuu....

    THE PRICE OF IMAAN



    Several years ago an imaam moved to London. He often took the bus from his home to the downtown area. Some weeks after he arrived, he had occasion to ride the same bus. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him twenty pence too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'you better give the twenty pence back. It would be wrong to keep it'.

    Then he thought, 'oh forget it, it's only twenty pence. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company already gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a gift from Almighty Allah and keep quiet'.



    When his stop came, the Imaam paused momentarily at the door, then he handed the twenty pence back to the driver and said:
    "Here, you gave me too much change."

    The driver with a smile replied:
    "Aren't you the new Imaam in this area? I have been thinking lately about going to worship at your mosque. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change."

    When the Imaam stepped off the bus, his knees became weak and soft. He had to grab the nearest light pole and held for support, and looked up to the heavens and cried:
    "Oh Allah, I almost sold Islam for twenty pence!"

    Bottomline: We may never see the impact our actions have on people... Sometimes we are the only knowledge of the Quran someone will read, or the only Islam a non-Muslim will see. What we need to provide, Insha Allah is an example for others to see. Be careful and be honest everyday, because you never know who is watching your actions.

    Adakah Sunnah Tutup Kepala ke Tandas??

    Jawapan dari Jabatan Komiti Kajian Fatwa – Dipengerusikan oleh Sheikh `Abd al-Wahhâb al-Turayrî .

    Ini merupakan satu amalan tradisi . Tidak terdapat bukti yang Sahih dari Sunnah untuk menyokongnya.

    Berkenaan hadith dari Sunan al-Bayhaqî tentang menutup kepala apabila masuk kedalam tandas , Hadith(status) adalah seperti berikut:

    Hadith pertama:

    `Â’ishah berkata: “ Apabila Rasulullah SAW masuk kedalam tandas , Beliau akan menutup kepalanya dan apabila mendatangi Isterinya , beliau akan menutup kepalanya.

    Hadith di riwayatkan oleh al-Bayhaqî dalam al-Sunan al-Kubrâ (1/96) dan al-Dhahabî dalam al-Muhadhdhab fî Ikhtisâr al-Sunan al-Kabîr (#405).

    Jalan periwayatannya seperti berikut:

    `Abd al-Khâliq b. Alî al-Mu’adhdhin dari Abû Ahmad b. Hamdân al-Sayrafî dari Muhammad b. Yûnus al-Qurashî (al-Kudaymî) dari Khâlid b. `Abd al-Rahmân dari Sufyân al-Thawrî dari Hishâm b. `Urwah dari ayahnya dari `Â’ishah.

    Setelah meriwayatkan hadith tersebut al-Bayhaqî sendiri berkata : “ Hadith ini adalah salah satu yang perlu ditinggalkan oleh kerana Muhammad b. Yûnus al-Kudaymî.”
    Al-Bayhaqî kemudiannya menyatakan bahawa Ibn `Adî berkata tentang hadith ini : ‘ Aku tidak kenal orang yang meriwayatkannya selain al-Kudaymî dari sanad ini. Dan al-Kudaymî amat terkenal untuk perlu dipastikan bertapa lemahnya dia.

    Al-Dhahabî juga berkata terhadap al-Kudaymî ketika meriwayatkan hadith ini : “ Dia dituduh sebagai penipu” [al-Muhadhdhab (1/104)]

    Ibn `Adî berkata tentang dia : “Al-Kudaymî telah di tuduh memalsukan hadith”

    Ibn Hibbân berkata :’ “ Kemungkinan dia memalsukan lebih dari 1000 hadith”. al-Dhahabî, Mîzân al-I`tidâl (4/74 #8353).

    Al-Bayhaqî kemudian berkata: “ Telah diriwayatkan dari Abû Bakr menutup kepalanya ketika masuk ke tandas . Ini adalah satu perkara yang benar tentang beliau.”al-Sunan al-Kubrâ (1/96)]


    Hadith kedua

    Habîb b. Sâlih meriwayatkan “ Apabila Rasulullah SAW memasuki tandas , Beliau akan mengenakan kasut dan menutup kepalanya”

    Hadith ini di riwayatkan oleh al-Bayhaqî dalam al-Sunan al-Kubrâ (1/96) dan by al-Dhahabî dalam al-Muhadhdhab fî Ikhtisâr al-Sunan al-Kabîr (#406).

    Jalan periwayatannya seperti berikut:

    Abû `Abd Allah al-Hâfiz dari Abû Bakr Ahmad b. Ishâq al-Sibghî dari Ismâ`îl b. Qutaybah dari Yahyâ b. Yahyâ dari Ismâ`îl b. `Ayyâsh dari `Abû Bakr b. `Abd Allah dari Habîb b. Sâlih.

    Al-Bayhaqî menjelaskan dari mula lagi bahawa hadith ini Mursal, bermakna ia telah diriwayatkan Tabiien tanpa menyebut Sahabah yang meriwayatkannya sendiri dari Rasulullah SAW. Habîb b. Sâlih adalah Tabiien yang tidak pernah berjumpa dengan Rasulullah SAW .
    Al-Dhahabî setelah meriwayatkannya , memberi komen kepada Abû Bakr b. `Abd Allah b. Abî Maryam dengan berkata: ‘Abû Bakr adalah periwayat yang lemah” [al-Muhadhdhab (1/104)]
    Ibn Hibbân berkata tentang Abû Bakr b. `Abd Allah b. Abî Maryam: “Dia seorang yang lemah dalam Ingatan. Apabila dia menyampaikan dia melakukan kesilapan dan perkara menjadi kesalahan yang teruk, oleh kerana itu dia perlu di tinggalkan.”

    Abû Zur`ah ar-Râzî berkata: “Dia periwayat yang lemah dan Hadithnya palsu (munkar).”

    Al-Dâraqutnî berkata: “Dia perlu ditinggalkan.”

    Dia telah diumumkan sebagi lemah oleh kebanyakan pakar dalam kritikan periwayat termasuk Yahyâ b. Ma`în, Ahmad b. Hanbal, al-Nasâ’î, al-Âjurî, dan selainnya

    Siyar A`lâm al-Nubalâ’ (7/65) and Tahdhîb al-Tahdhîb (4/490).

    Ibn Hajar al-`Asqalânî berkata tentang dia: “Dia seorang periwayat yang lemah. Rumahnya di rompak dan kemudian periwayatanya menjadi celaru.” [Taqrîb al-Tahdhîb (1116 - #8031)]

    Kedua-dua hadith ini tidak sesuai dijadikan bahan bukti.Hadith pertama adalah tertolak (mungkar). Hadith kedua adalah tersangat lemah..

    3 Doors down

    The Hellfire from Three Doors
    Imaam Ibn al-Qayyim

    Mankind will enter the hell fire from three doors:


    1. The door of a shubhah' that caused the person to inherit doubt in the deen of Allah.

    2. The door of base desires (shahwah') that caused the person to give presedence to his desires over the pleasure and obedience to Allah.

    3. The door of anger that causes transgresion against the creation of Allah.

    The root of all sins are three:

    1. Arrogance, and it is that which caused iblees to become what he is.

    2. Covetiousness (hirs), and it is that which took Adaam (`alayhis salaam) out of the Jannah.

    3. Envy, and it is that which caused one of the sons of Adaam to kill his brother.

    So whoever has been protected from the evil of these three things, then he has been protected from all evil- as kufr is from arrogance and disobedience is from covetiousness and oppression and transgression is from envy.

    Fajr : a poem

    Satan whispered in my ear today as he often does,
    he told me "just stay in bed and let the alarm clock buzz,
    the covers are warm while the air is cold."
    But I refused and stood up bold.

    As I walked toward the bathroom with my eyes squinting,
    He said "Go back to bed, who care's for prayers and repenting?"
    Bismillah, in the name of Allah I turn the water on,
    Making wadu, I think of the reward of praying Fajr before dawn.

    Knot number two is now untied,
    Satan is losing his strength and pride,
    he is whispering again with his last attempt,
    "I will see you in my hell, you will not be exempt.

    You have sinned and your prayers will not save you.
    For, your good deeds are far too few."
    I interrupted him, lovingly reciting, Bismillah akrakman naraheem,
    In the name of Allah the most gracious, most merciful, most supreme
    Al Fatiha, a surah, Ruk'u and then Qauma, Sudjood to show full submission,
    Rise and thank, Sudjood again and do over with no omission,
    sitting on my ankles to recite At-tashahhud with a humble and open soul,
    With tears in my eyes I am submitting fully to Allah's control.
    Back on my ankles to ask Allah for blessings on his Prophet and on us,
    As Salaam 'alaikum wa rahmatulaah to my right then left, ahhh success.
    Three knots now untied,
    Inshallah, from Jannah I will not be denied.

    Ucapan Sempoi

    Di dalam hidup manusia, yang penting ialah BERKAT.
    Bila hidup kita berkat, diri ini akan selamat.

    Apabila diri selamat, rumahtangga jadi sepakat.
    Apabila rumahtangga jadi sepakat, masyarakat jadi muafakat.
    Apabila
    masyarakat jadi muafakat, negara kita menjadi kuat.
    Apabila negara
    menjadi kuat, negara luar jadi hormat.
    Apabila negara luar jadi hormat,
    permusuhan pun tersekat.
    Apabila permusuhan tersekat, pembangunan pun
    meningkat.
    Apabila pembangunan pun meningkat, kemajuan menjadi pesat.


    TETAPI AWAS,

    Apabila pembangunan meningkat, kemajuan menjadi pesat,
    kita lihat bangunan naik bertingkat-tingkat.
    Ditengah-tengah itu, tempat maksiat
    tumbuh macam kulat.
    Apabila tempat-tempat maksiat tumbuh macam kulat,
    KETIKA ITU manusia mula mengubah tabiat.
    Apabila manusia telah mengubah
    tabiat,ada yang jadi lalat ada yang jadi ulat.
    Apabila manusia dah jadi
    ulat,sembahyang makin hari makin liat.
    Apabila sembahyang jadi liat,
    orang baik ada yang bertukar jadi jahat.
    Apabila orang baik bertukar
    jahat, orang miskin pula nak kaya cepat.
    Apabila orang miskin nak kaya
    cepat, orang tua pula nak mati lambat.
    Apabila orang tua nak mati
    lambat, tak dapat minum madu telan jerla minyak gamat.

    YANG LELAKI,

    budak budak muda pakai seluar ketat.
    Semua nak tunjuk kuat.
    Bila berjudi, percaya unsur kurafat.
    Tapi hidup pula yang melarat.
    Tali kasut dah tak berikat.
    Rambut pun jarang sikat.

    YANG PEREMPUAN,

    Pakai mini sekerat.

    Suka pakai baju ketat... (apa dapat...)
    Suka sangat menunjukkan pusat.
    Hingga tak pedulikan lagi batasan aurat.
    Pakai pulak yang singkat-singkat.
    Kadang-kadang ternampak benda 'bulat'.
    Bila jadi macam ini, siapa lihat pasti tercegat.
    Silap gaya jadi gawat, bohsia bohjan lagi hebat.

    Duduk jauh berkirim surat .

    Bila berjumpa, tangan berjabat.
    Kemudian pakat lawan peluk siapa erat.
    Masa tu, nafas naik sampai tersekat-sekat.
    Usah peduli agama dan adat.
    Usah takut Allah dan malaikat.
    Yang penting apa kita nak buat?
    Kita 'bukti' lah kita buat.

    Akhirnya perut kempis dah jadi bulat.
    Apabila perut kempis dah jadi bulat, maka lahirlah pula anak-anak yang tak cukup sifat.
    Bila anak-anak tak cukup sifat, jam tu kita tengok bayi
    dibuang di merata tempat.

    MAKNANYA KETIKA ITU, IBLIS MULA MELOMPAT.
    Dia kata apa? Habis manusia dah masuk jerat.
    Habis manusia telah tersesat.
    Inilah dia fenomena masyarakat.

    Oleh itu wahai saudaraku dan para sahabat,
    Marilah kita pakat mengingat,

    The Story of 3 Friends

    Not long ago, three friends came to the New York city. They decided to stay in a hotel during the visit.

    It so happened that their room ended up being on the 60th floor.

    The policy of the hotel was that every night after 12:00 a.m. the elevators are shut down for security reasons.The next day, the three friends rented a car and went out to explore the city. They enjoyed movies, concerts, and other things throughout the whole day. At one point, they remembered that they have to get back to the hotel before 12 a.m.

    When they arrived, it was beyond 12 a.m. at night. The elevators were shut down. There was no other way to get back to their room but to take the stairs all the way to the 60th floor. All of a sudden, one friend got an idea.

    He said “For the first 20 floors, I will tell jokes to keep us going. Then another one of us could say wisdom stories for the next 20 floors. Finally, we will cover the other 20 floors with sad stories.”

    So, one of the friends started with the jokes. With laughs and joy,they reached the 20th floor. Now, another friend started saying stories that are full of wisdom. So, they learned a lot while reaching the 40th floor. Now, it was time for the sad stories.

    So, the third friend started thus, “My first sad story is that I left the key for the room in the car.”

    Now, what is the point of this story?

    This story resembles our lifecycle. For the first 20 years of our life, we spend time in joking and enjoying whatever is out there. Then, after we reach 20, we go into the work force, get marriead, have kids and this is the time when we use our wisdom. Then, if we reach 40, we finally see the white hairs and begin to think that my life is coming to an end and the sadness begins.

    Growth

    It’s better that we start our life in the very beginning by remembering death rather than preparing for it at the end our life when very few of us have the energy to obey Allah completely. We should also remember that there is no guarantee of a life of 60 years for any of us, many have already left this world way before that age.

    May Allah give us the ability to make use of our life before death and our youth before old age, Ameen.

    ICAN 08 Opening

    ICAN? itulah acronym bagi Islamic Cultural and Art Nights
    ini merupakan program batch dan permulaan kepada peralihan kuasa
    daripada senior ke junior...
    dari program ni, kiter dapat lihat kredibiliti penganjur,
    sebelum diorg memimpin organisasi2 besar kolej...

    Tema tahun ini 'Beauty within Simplicity',
    antara maksud theme, Islam ni simple,
    x membebankan, dan macam2 lagi...

    Majlis opening berlangsung dengan gilang gemilang pada malam tadi,
    walaupun bermula agak lewat,
    pihak penganjur bijak menanganinya...
    namun, hadirin agak kecewa apabila fashion show yg sepatutunya berlangsung,
    telah dicancelled...
    Dr Horsfall juga berkata demikian...
    namun keadaan agak kalut apabila orang yg sepatutnya membaca doa,
    gagal untuk tampil ke hadapan...
    namun, Saudara Afiq(director ICAN 07) menjadi hero apabila tampil membaca doa..
    Selepas ucapan oleh Director ICAN, Aidid,
    majlis perasmian berlangsung...
    Dr Horsfall diminta naik ke pentas...
    dan menyembur air ke atas kertas melalui spray...
    apabila kertas itu tersentuh oleh titisan air yang dipancarkan,
    kelihatan Tulisan ICAN timbul dan disertai dengan tepukan gemuruh...
    memang kreatif pihak penganjur!!!

    Selepas itu, majlis diteruskan dengan hidangan Nasyid oleh Junior,
    memang best nasyid diorg,
    lepastu, acara yg dittunggu2,
    tayangan video 4 house...
    dimulai ngan Sapphire, Topaz, Diamond dan Garnet...
    di antara tayangan video, diselitkan persembahan Rap Islam
    oleh Irfan and da gang....memang menghiburkan...
    lagi yg disampaikan sedap dan hasil nukilan Irfan sendiri...

    lepas tu, majlis ditamatkan...
    para hadirin dijemput ke belakang dewan untuk menikmati hidangan..
    hidangan berupa roti jala, dan yg menarik,
    hidangan berupa 'cengkerik'. Yup, cengkerik bersalut coklat amat sedap sekali,
    dan dapat membekalkan sumber protein buat hadirin...

    Diharap sepanjang ICAN, sumer aktivit dapat berlangsung dengan lancar!!!
    inilah doa kami dari pihak MUSCOM..

    Puasa Asyura

    Taisir al-Fiqh fi Dhau’ al-Quran dan al-Sunnah (Fiqh al-Siyam) : Cetakan ketiga Muassasah al-Risalah. m.s. 142 - 145.
    Oleh : Prof Dr. Yusuf al-Qaradhawi.

    ‘Aasyura (عاشوراء) ialah hari yang kesepuluh dalam bulan Muharram (المحرم ). Manakala Taasuaa’ (تاسوعاء) adalah hari yang kesembilan dari bulan yang sama. Zahir daripada himpunan khabar (hadith-hadith) bahawasanya puasa ‘Asyura adalah sesuatu yang dikenali di sisi kaum Quraish (قريش) pada zaman Jahiliyyah, dan demikian juga dikenali (puasa ‘Asyura) di sisi penganut Yahudi.

    Kata ‘A-isyah r.’anha :

    “Hari ‘Asyura adalah satu hari yang orang-orang Quraish berpuasa padanya ketika Jahiliyyah. Dan Rasulullah s.a.w. juga berpuasa pada hari tersebut. Ketika sampai di Madinah Nabi s.a.w. berpuasa pada hari ‘Asyura dan baginda menyuruh Umat Islam berpuasa pada hari tersebut. Namun apabila difardhukan puasa Ramadhan, Nabi s.a.w. bersabda :

    مَنْ شَاءَ صَامَهُ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَهُ

    Maksudnya : “Sesiapa yang hendak, maka berpuasalah ia (pada hari ‘Asyura), dan sesiapa yang tidak mahu tinggallah ia (puasa ‘Asyura)” (Hadith riwayat al-Bukhari dan Muslim)

    Kata Ibn ‘Abbas r.a. : “Ketika Nabi s.a.w. sampai ke madinah, baginda melihat orang-orang Yahudi berpuasa pada hari ‘Asyura. Lalu Baginda bersabda :

    ما هذا ؟ قالوا: هذا يوم صالح، نجّى الله فيه موسى وبني إسرائيل من عدوهم، فصامه موسى، فقال: “أنا أحق بموسى منكم” فصامه وأمر بصيامه

    Maksudnya : “Hari apakah ini (di sisi kamu) ?” Orang-orang Yahudi menjawab : “Hari ini adalah hari yang baik. ALLAH telah memenangkan padanya Musa dan Bani Isra-il daripada musuh mereka (Fir’aun dan kaumnya). Lalu Musa berpuasa pada hari ini (’Asyura).” Sabda Nabi s.a.w. : “Aku lebih berhak ke atas Musa berbanding kamu semua (orang-orang Yahudi).” Lalu baginda berpuasa pada hari tersebut (’Asyura) dan mengarahkan (para Sahabat) berpuasa padanya.” (Hadith riwayat al- al-Bukhari dan Muslim)

    Sesungguhnya Nabi s.a.w. telah memfardhukan (mewajibkan) puasa pada hari ‘Asyura diperingkat awal, sehingga baginda mengutus seorang utusan untuk memberitahu kepada manusia lain untuk berpuasa pada siang hari ‘Asyura sekalipun mereka telah makan (sebelumnya). Apabila difardhukan puasa Ramadhan, maka dihapuskan kefardhuannya (dihapus kefardhuan puasa ‘Asyura). Maka jadilah puasa ‘Asyura sebagai sunat sahaja.

    Dari Abi Qatadah r.a. sabda Nabi s.a.w. :

    صوم يوم عرفة يُكفِّر سنتين: ماضية ومستقبلة، وصوم يوم عاشوراء يكفر سنة ماضية

    Maksudnya : ” Puasa hari ‘Arafah menghapuskan (dosa) dua tahun : Tahun yang lalu dan yang akan datang. Sedang puasa hari ‘Asyura menghapuskan (dosa) setahun yang lalu.” (Hadith riwayat al-Jama’ah, kecuali al-Bukhari dan al-Tirmizi – al-Muntaqa bersama Nail al-Author, 4/323)

    Nabi s.a.w. benar-benar mahu membezakan syakhsiah Islamiah (dari yang lain) dalam setiap perkara. Supaya Umat Islam merdeka / berbeza dari penganut yang lain, lalu baginda menganjurkan puasa pada hari kesembilan (dalam bulan Muharram) bersama dengan puasa pada hari kesepuluh (dalam bulan Muharram), supaya dapat dibezakan antara puasa Umat Islam dengan puasa Ahli Kitab.

    Dari Ibn ‘Abbas r.a. katanya :

    لما صام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم عاشوراء, وأمر بصيامه, قالوا: يا رسول الله، إنه يوم تعظمه اليهود والنصارى! فقال: “فإذا كان العام المقبل إن شاء الله صمنا اليوم
    التاسع” قال: فلم يأت العام المقبل حتى توفي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم

    Maksudnya : “Ketika Nabi s.a.w. berpuasa pada hari ‘Asyura, dan baginda menyuruh para sahabat berpuasa padanya.”Para Sahabat berkata : “Wahai Rasulullah, sesungguhnya hari itu hari yang dibesarkan oleh orang-orang Yahudi dan Nasara.” Lalu Sabda Nabi s.a.w. : “Maka pada tahun hadapan insyaALLAH kita akan berpuasa (bermula) pada hari kesembilan.” Lalu Ibn ‘Abbas menceritakan : “Tidak sempat datang tahun hadapan, Nabi s.a.w. diwafatkan (oleh ALLAH s.w.t.).” (Hadith riwayat Muslim dan Abu Daud)

    the little boy answered 3 questions

    Assalamualaikum,here is the true story


    "There was once a man who was an enemy to Islam. He had three famous questions that no person could answer. No Islamic scholar in Baghdad could answer his three questions...thus he made fun of Islam in public. He constantly ridiculed Islam and the Muslims. One day a small boy, who`s age was 10, came along and heard the man yelling and screaming at Muslims in the street. He was challenging people openly to answer the three questions.


    The boy stood quietly and watched. He then decided that he would challenge the man. He walked up and told the man, "I will accept your challenge".

    The man laughed at the boy and ridiculed the Muslims even more by saying, "A ten year old boy challenges me. Is this all you people have to offer!"

    But the boy patiently reiterated his stance. He would challenge the man, and with Allah`s help and guidance, he would put this to an end. The man finally accepted.

    The entire city gathered around a small "hill" where open addresses were usually made. The man climbed to the top, and in a loud voice asked his first question."What is your God doing right now?"

    The small boy thought for a little while and then told the man to climb down the hill and to allow him to go up in order to address the question.

    The man says "What? You want me to come down?"

    The boy says, "Yes. I need to reply, right?"

    The man made his way down and the small boy, age 10, with his little feet made his way up.

    This small child`s reply was "Oh Allah Almighty! You be my witness in front of all these people. You have just willed that a Kafir be brought down to a low level, and that a Muslim be brought to a high level!"

    The crowd cheered and screamed "Takbir"...."Allah-hu-akbar!!!"

    The man was humiliated, but he boldly asked his Second question... "

    What existed before your God?"

    The small child thought and thought.

    Then he asked the man to count backwards. "Count from 10 backwards."

    The man counted..."10, 9 ,8 , 7 , 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1,0"The boy asked, "What comes before 0 ?"

    The man: "I don`t know...nothing."

    The boy: "Exactly. Nothing was before Allah, for He is eternal and absolute."

    The crowd cheered again...."Takbir!"...."Allah-hu-akbar!!!!"

    The man, now completely frustrated, asked his final question. "In which direction is your Allah facing?"

    The boy thought and thought.

    He then asked for a candle. A candle was brought to him. The blessed child handed it to the man and asked him to light it.

    The man did so and remarked, "What is this supposed to prove?"

    The young boy asked, "In which direction is light from the candle going?"

    The man responded, "It is going in all directions."

    The boy: "You have answered your own question. Allah`s light (noor) goes in all directions. He is everywhere. There is no where that He cannot be found."

    The crowd cheered again...."Takbir!"...."Allah-hu-akbar!!!"

    The man was so impressed and so moved by the boy`s knowledge and spirituality, that he embraced Islam and became a student of the young boy.

    So ended the debate.

    The young boy was one of our leaders and one of the greatest scholars, Imam Abu Hanîfa (May Allah bless him)"

    The Secrets Behind Istighfaar



    “From the verse, “seek forgiveness from your Lord” (Surah Nuh), two issues become apparent.


    1. We will commit sin, which is why we are being commanded to seek forgiveness.


    2. Allah would not have commanded us to seek forgiveness if He did not want to forgive us. Just like when a kind hearted father tells his son to seek forgiveness, the father’s intention is already to forgive.


    Thus, Allah telling us to seek forgiveness is enough evidence that He wants to forgive us. Therefore, hasten and do not be late or slow in seeking forgiveness.”

    Surat Cinta Untuk Jiwa

    Surat ini kutujukan untuk diriku sendiri serta sahabat-sahabat tercintaku yang insyaAllah tetap mencintai Allah dan RasulNya di atas segalanya, kerana hanya
    cinta itu yang dapat mengalahkan segalanya, cinta hakiki yang membuat manusia melihat segalanya dari sudut pandangan yang berbeza, lebih bermakna dan indah.

    Surat ini kutujukan untuk hatiku dan hati sahabat-sahabat tercintaku yang kerap kali terisi oleh cinta selain dariNya, yang mudah sekali terlena oleh indahnya dunia, yang terkadang melakukan segalanya bukan keranaNya, lalu di ruang hatinya yang kelam merasa senang jika dilihat dan dipuji orang, entah dimana keikhlasannya. Maka saat merasakan kekecewaan dan kelelahan kerana perkara yang dilakukan tidak sepenuhnya berlandaskan keikhlasan, padahal Allah tidak pernah menanyakan hasil. Dia hanya akan melihat kesungguhan dalam beramal.

    Surat ini kutujukan pula untuk jiwaku serta jiwa sahabat-sahabat tercintaku yang mulai lelah menapak di jalanNya ketika seringkali mengeluh, terasa dibebani bahkan terpaksa untuk menjalankan tugas yang sangat mulia. Padahal tiada kesakitan, kelelahan serta kepayahan yang dirasakan oleh seorang hamba melainkan Allah akan mengampuni dosa-dosanya.

    Surat ini kutujukan untuk ruh-ku dan ruh sahabat-sahabat tercintaku yang mulai terkikis oleh dunia yang menipu, serta membiarkan fitrahnya tertutup oleh maksiat yang dinikmati, lalu di manakah kejujuran diletakkan? Dan kini terabailah sudah nurani yang bersih, saat ibadah hanyalah sebagai rutin belaka, saat jasmani dan fikiran disibukkan oleh dunia, saat wajah menampakkan kebahagiaan yang penuh kepalsuan. Cuba kau lihat di sana! Hatimu menangis dan meranakah?

    Surat ini kutujukan untuk diriku dan diri sahabat-sahabat tercintaku yang sombong, yang terkadang bangga pada dirinya sendiri. Sungguh tiada satupun yang membuat kita lebih di hadapanNya selain ketakwaan. Padahal kita menyedari bahawa tiap-tiap jiwa akan merasakan mati, namun kita masih bergaul terus dengan kefanaan.

    Surat ini kutujukan untuk hatiku dan hati sahabat-sahabat tercintaku yang mulai mati, saat tiada getar ketika asma Allah disebut, saat tiada sesal ketika kebaikan berlalu begitu sahaja, saat tiada rasa takut padaNya ketika maksiat dilakukan, dan tiada merasa berdosa ketika menzalimi diri sendiri dan orang lain.

    Akhirnya surat ini kutujukan untuk jiwa yag masih memiliki cahaya meskipun sedikit, jangan biarkan cahaya itu padam. Maka terus kumpulkan cahaya itu hingga ia dapat menerangi wajah-wajah di sekeliling, memberikan keindahan Islam yang sesungguhnya hanya dengan kekuatan dariNya "Ya Allah yang maha membolak-balikkan hati, tetapkan hati ini pada agamaMU, pada taat kepadaMu dan dakwah di jalanMu "

    Wallahua’lam

    NB: Moga dapat membangkitkan iman yang sedang mati atau nazak, tercungap-cungap bernafas dalam keksesakan duniawi yang bersarang. Mata yang kabur dek kabus kejahilan semalam. Dimana seruan jihad yang pernah dilaungkan oleh junjungan mulia Rasulullah, mahupun Khalid Al-Walid, Salahuddin Al-Ayubi serta As-Syahid Hassan Al-Banna buat kita? Kembalikan semangat itu sahabat-sahabat tercintaku..... Masih ada buat kita Allah dan orang-orang beriman yang selalu menemani dikala hati lelah.

    Waktu-waktu yang disuruh Gosok Gigi

    1) Ketika bangun daripada tidur. Ini berdasarkan hadis dari Hudzaifah RA dia berkata :

    عن حذيفة؛ أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا قام من الليل يشوص فاه بالسواك

    Adalah Rasulullah SAW apabila bangun daripada tidur di waktu malam, Baginda SAW membersihkan mulutnya dengan bersiwak (gosok gigi). (Sahih Muslim:255)

    2) Setiap kali hendak berwudhu. Ini berdasarkan hadis Nabi SAW yang diriwayatkan oleh Abu Hurairah RA bahawa Rasulullah SAW bersabda:

    لولا أن أشق على أمتي لأمرتهم بالسواك عند كل وضوء

    “Kalau aku tidak khuatir menyusahkan umatku, nescaya aku akan perintahkan untuk menggosok gigi setiap kali berwudhu.” (Di riwayat di dalam al-Bukhari tanpa sanad. Ibn Khuzaimah mengsahihkannya di dalam Sahih Ibn Khuzaimah:140)

    3) Setiap kali hendak solat. Dari Abu Hurairah ra,Rasulullah SAW bersabda:

    “لولا أن أشق على المؤمنين (وفي حديث زهير، على أمتي) لأمرتهم بالسواك عند كل صلاة”

    Kalau aku tidak khuatir menyusahkan orang beriman atau umatku, nescaya akan aku perintahkan untuk menggosok gigi setiap kali bersolat. (Muslim:252)

    4) Ketika hendak masuk ke rumah. Dari ‘Aisyah RA, beliau berkata:

    عن عائشة؛ أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا دخل بيته بدأ بالسواك

    Rasulullah SAW apabila hendak masuk ke dalam rumahnya, baginda SAW akan memulakan dengan menggosok gigi. (Muslim:253)

    5) Di saat mulut mula berbau, kekuningan, selepas makan dan minum dan lain-lain. Ini kerana bersiwak (menggosok gigi dianjurkan untuk menjaga kebersihan dan kesihatan.

    6) Ketika hendak membaca al-Quran. Ini berdasarkan riwayat daripada Ali bin Abi Talib RA, Rasulullah SAW bersabda:

    وعن علي رضي الله عنه أنه أمر بالسواك وقال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:

    إن العبد إذا تسوك ثم قام يصلي قام الملك خلفه فيستمع لقراءته فيدنو منه أو كلمة نحوها حتى يضع فاه على فيه فما يخرج من فيه شيء من القرآن إلا صار في جوف الملك فطهروا أفواهكم للقرآن

    Sesungguhnya, apabila seorang hamba menggosok gigi, kemudian mendirikan solat, maka seorang malaikat berdiri di belakangnya dan mendengar bacaannya. Kemudian malaikat itu mendekatinya (kata perawi: atau menyatakan kalimat yang serupa) lalu meletakkan mulutnya ke mulut orang tersebut sehingga tiada ayat-ayat al-Quran yang keluar dari mulutnya kecuali akan masuk ke dalam perut-perut malaikat. Oleh yang demikian, sucikanlah mulut kamu bila hendak membaca al-Quran. (Di riwayatkan oleh al-Bazzar dengan sanad yang baik. Al-Albani menyatakan ia hasan sahih, lihat Sahih at-Targhib wa at-tarhib:215)

    Review Buku: Di Atas Sejadah Cinta

    “In kuntu ‘asyiqatul lail

    fa ka’si musyriqun bi dhau’
    wal hubb al wariq…”

    Gadis itu mengulang ngulang rangkap bait puitis di atas berulang kali. Sedang pada waktu lain seorang pemuda bernama Zahid sedang menangis tatkala membaca surah As-Syams.

    “fa alhamaha fujuuraha wa taqwaaha
    Qad aflaha Man zakkaaha
    Wa qad khaaba man dassaaha…”

    (maka Allah mengilhamkan kepada jiwa itu jalan kefasikan dan ketaqwaan. Sesungguhnya beruntunglah orang yang mensucikan jiwa itu dan sungguh merugilah orang yang mengotorinya…).

    Hatinya tertanya-tanya. Apakah dia termasuk dalam golongan yang mensucikan jiwanya? Atau yang mengotori jiwanya?

    Ayat itu dibaca berulang kali. Hatinya bergetar hebat. Tubuhnya bergoncang. Akhirnya ia pengsan.

    “Tolong! Tolong!”

    Suara itu datang dari arah penunggang kuda yang ada jauh di depannya. Ia menghentikan langkahnya. Penunggang kuda itu semakin jelas.

    “Tolong! Tolong hentikan kuda ini! Ia tidak bisa dikendalikan”

    Mendengar itu Zahid tegang. Apa yang harus dibuat sedang kuda sudah mendekat.

    “Hai kuda makhluk Allah,berhentilah dengan izin Allah!”

    Bagai pasukan mendengar perintah panglimanya, kuda itu meringkik dan berhenti seketika. Perempua itu terpelanting jatuh dan mengaduh.

    “Assalamualiki. Kau tidak apa-apa?”
    “Alhamdulillah tidak apa-apa. Hanya saja tangan kananku sakit sekali. Mungkin terkilir saat jatuh”
    “Syukurlah kalau begitu”


    Dua mata bening di balik cadar itu terus memandang wajah tampan Zahid. Menyedari hal itu Zahid menundukkan pandangannya ke tanah. Tanpa pengetahuan Zahid, ia membuka cadarnya. Dan tampaklah wajah cantik nan mempesona.

    “Tuan, saya ucapkan terima kasih. Kalau boleh tahu siapa nama tuan, dari mana dan mau ke mana”

    Zahid mengangkat mukanya. Matanya menatap wajah putih bersih memesona. Hatinya bergetar hebat. Saraf dan otot terasa dingin. Inilah kali pertama ia menatap wajah gadis jelita dari jarak yang sangat dekat. Sang gadis terpesona oleh ketampanan Zahid, sementara gemuruh hati Zahid tak kurang hebatnya! “Astagfirullah”.

    “Namaku Zahid. Aku dari masjid. Mau mengunjungi saudaraku yang sakit”
    “Jadi kaulah Zahid yang dibicarakan orang itu? Yang hidupnya Cuma di dalam masjid?”
    “Tak tahulah itu mungkin Zahid yang lain” lalu berlalu melangkah.

    “Tunggu dulu Tuan Zahid! Kenapa tergesa-gesa? Kau mahu ke mana? Perbincangan kita belum selesai!”
    “Aku mahu melanjutkan perjalananku”

    Gadis itu berlari dan berdiri di hadapan Zahid. Zahid bergetar hebat.

    “Tuan aku hanya mau bilang namaku Afirah. Kebun ini milik ayahku. Jika kau mahu silakan datang ke rumahku. Dan sebagai ucapan terima kasih aku mau menghadiah ini” sambil mengunjuk sapu tangan suteranya

    “Tidak usah!”
    “Terimalah, tidak apa-apa. Kalau tuan enggan saya tidak akan memberi jalan!”

    Terpaksa Zahid menerima sapu tangan itu.

    a brother like that.


    Shuaib received an automobile from his brother as a Eid present. On Eid day when Shuaib came out of his office, a street urchin was walking around the shiny new car, admiring it. "Is this your car, Uncle?" he asked. Shuaib nodded. "My brother gave it to me for Eid." The boy was astounded.

    "You mean your brother gave it to you and it didn't cost you nothing? Boy, I wish..." He hesitated. Of course Shuaib knew what he was going to wish for. He was going to wish he had a brother like that. But what the lad said jarred Shuaib all the way down to his heels. "I wish," the boy went on, "that I could be a brother like that." Shuaib looked at the boy in astonishment, then impulsively he added, "Would you like to take a ride in my automobile?" "Oh yes, I'd love that."

    After a short ride, the boy turned and with his eyes aglow, said, "Uncle, would you mind driving in front of my house?" Shuaib smiled a little. He thought he knew what the lad wanted. He wanted to show his neighbors that he could ride home in a big automobile. But Shuaib was wrong again. "Will you stop where those two steps are?" the boy asked. He ran up the steps. Then in a little while Shuaib heard him coming back, but he was not coming fast. He was carrying his little crippled brother. He sat him down on the bottom step, then sort of squeezed up against him and pointed to the car.

    "There she is, uncle, just like I told you upstairs. His brother gave it to him for Eid and it didn't cost him a penny. And some day I'm gonna give you one just like it...then you can see for yourself all the pretty things in the Shop windows that I've been trying to tell you about."

    Shuaib got out and lifted the boy to the front seat of his car. The shining-eyed older brother climbed in beside him and the three of them began a memorable holiday ride. That Eid, Shuaib learned what the RasulAllah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) meant when he had said: "love for your brother what you love for yourself".

    When you were 22, she hugged you at your college graduation.

    You thanked her by asking whether she could pay for a trip to Europe.


    When you were 23, she gave you furniture for your first apartment.
    You thanked her by telling your friends it was ugly.


    When you were 24, she met your fiance and asked about your plans for the future.

    You thanked her by glaring and growling, "Muuhh-ther, please!"


    When you were 25, she helped to pay for your wedding, and she cried and told you how deeply she loved you.

    You thanked her by moving halfway across the country.


    When you were 30, she called with some advice on the baby.

    You thanked her by telling her, "Things are different now."


    When you were 40, she called to remind you of a relative's birthday.

    You thanked her by saying you were "really busy right now."


    When you were 50, she fell ill and needed you to take care of her.

    You thanked her by reading about the burden parents become to their children.


    And then, one day, she quietly died. And everything you never did came crashing down like thunder.

    Hutang dan Dosa

    Hutang wajib dibayar, walaupun tidak dituntut. Setiap roh mereka yang berhutang, akan tergantung di langit, tidak diizinkan oleh para malaikat untuk ke tahap yang seterusnya. Adalah amat menyedihkan jika kita teliti kembali keadaan ummah pada masa kini, yang mengambil mudah perihal hutang. Betullah kata peribahasa, anak kencing berdiri, bapa kencing berlari. Manakan mampu ketam itu menyuruh anaknya berjalan lurus, jika diri sendiri berjalan mengiring.

    Terdapat pelbagai faktor yang menyumbang ke arah masalah ini. Kurangnya pengetahuan agama menjadi punca utama. Apabila agama Islam tidak dipraktikkan secara menyeluruh, terutama di peringkat nasional, maka timbullah pelagai isu hutang lapuk. Kesedaran bahawa hutang itu wajib dibayar tidak pernah terlintas dalam masyarakat yang kononnya bertamadun ini. Dalam menggesa para penghutang melunaskan hutang, tidak disebut pun hukum Allah dalam pelaksanaan ini. Lantas, adakah idea sekular bahawa agama suku, pentadbiran suku dilancarkan dengan jayanya? Tepuk dada, tanyalah iman.

    When you were 10 years old, she drove you all day, from soccer to gymnastics to one birthday party after another.
    You thanked her by jumping out of the car and never looking back.

    When you were 11 years old, she took you and your friends to the movies.
    You thanked her by asking to sit in a different row.

    When you were 12 years old, she warned you not to watch certain TV shows.
    You thanked her by waiting until she left the house.
