We are EXTREMELY Rich, yet we don't know it

Once a person came to a Sheikh (Islamic scholar) and complained to him about his own poverty, saying that he was in great distress and would prefer death to such a life.

The Sheikh said to him, "Are you willing to have your eyes taken out in exchange for ten thousand Dirhams (silver coins)."

    He replied "Certainly not."

The Sheikh said "Would you like to have your tongue plucked out and get ten thousand Dirhams in return?"

The man said, "Of course not."

The Sheikh said, "Would you agree to having both your hands and feet cut off in return for twenty thousand Dirhams."

The man said that he would not.

The Sheikh asked "Are you willing to be made a mad man and get ten thousand Dirhams in return?"

The man said that he was not willing.

At this, the Sheikh said to him, "Are you not ashamed of yourself? You admit that Allah Ta'ala has granted you so many precious gifts, the value whereof, in your own estimation, exceeds fifty thousand Dirhams (counting only a few gifts, by way of illustration) and yet you complain of poverty!"

The man was silent thinking of his ignorance.

The value of the above mentioned gifts can be fully understood when we lose them. Let us be more thankful to our Lord.

    Women Practicing Sport

It is an undeniable fact that woman's practicing sport is, in principle, Islamically accepted. However, there are many conditions to be met in this respect:

    1. Women must not adorn themselves for the purpose of being seen by men.

    2. They must not unveil any of their private parts that Islam orders them to cover.

    3. They must not intermingle with men in any way that brings them physically close together.

It is reported that when the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) had a race with `A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), he made sure that men were in the front and `A'ishah in the back. This has two significances: First, the permissibility of woman's practicing sport, and second, the requirements to be met in this respect.

Thereby, it is clear that Muslim women's practicing sport is governed by restrictions relating to Islamic observances that must be followed.

    Warkah Buat Ibu (Part 2)

    Mak.....
    amponkan kami semua...
    kami nak mak sehat...
    kami sayang mak...
    kami tak mau mak sakit...
kami terpaksa juga hantar mak ke
    hospital....
    ampon kan kami yer mak....

    Mak.....
    mak naik kereta kiter...
    Masih terbayang betapa ceria dan
gembiranya mak, kiter kata nak beli
    kereta....
Mak asyik tanya ajer..cukup ker duitt..
    kiter jawab pula...kalau tak cukup,
    mak kan banyak duit...
    mak gelak ajerr.....
    Lepas tu bila kereta kiter
    sampai.....mak buat kenduri kesyukuran.....
Dan kiter masih ingat lagi...bila kiter
    eksiden terlanggar aya naik motor.....
    Punya la kiter takut...kiter warning
kakak kiter jangan sesekali bgtau kat
    mak.....
    Bila balik sahaja kampong....kiter
    cepat-cepat simpan keta
    dalam garaj.....
Tapi mak perasan juga bumper depan
    kemek...mak tanya kenapa...?
Selamba jerr kiter jawab terlangar pokok
    bunga.....
Mak....tujuan kiter menipu tu supaya mak
    tak risau...
Maafkan kiter kerana sampai mak pergi
    mak tak tau hal sebenar...
mak, kiter menipu mak kan...ampon kan
    kiter....

    Mak.....
    Jam 4.30 pagi,
    Bila tiba aja kat hospital....nurse
tengah balut mak dengan kain putih.....
mak mesti nampak kiter jatuh terduduk di
    lantai hospital...
Mesti mak nampak abang cium dahi mak.....
Mesti mak nampak akak baca doa untuk mak....
Mesti mak nampak adik terduduk kat
    kerusi kat sudut itu...
mesti mak nampak semua tu kann...kann..kannn
    Mak tau tak....
Pagi tu balik dari hospital jam 5.20
pagi kiter mamandu dalam keadaan separuh
    sedar...
Adik kat sebelah diam melayan perasann...
    Kenangan bersama mak berputar dalam
    kepala ini...
jalan di depan terasa makin kelam.....
airmata dah tak mampu di tahan....
Masa tu seandainya apa-apa terjadi di
    jalan itu kiter rela...
    Namun alhamdulillah akhirnya kiter
    jadi jalan tu
    lenggang..kosong....sekosong hati ini.....
    Sepanjang perjalanan terasa kedinginan
    subuh itu lain benar
    suasananya.....
    terasa syahdu dan sayu gitu...dinginnnn....

    Mak.....
    Kiter masih ingat lagi...
Kiter baca AlQuran kat tepi mak temankan
    mak...
Jam 11.00 pagi mak di mandi kan....
Anak2 mak yang pangku masa mak mandi....
Mak mesti rasa betapa lembut nya kami
    mengosok seluruh tubuh mak.....
Kiter gosok kaki mak perlahan lahan.....
    Mak perasan tak...?
Makcik yang mandikan mak tu pujuk kiter.....
    Dia kata..." dikk...jangan
    nangis...kalau sayang mak jangan buat
    gitu...jangan nangis ya.."
    Bila makcik tu kata gitu...
lagi laaaa laju airmata ni..tapi kiter
kawal supaya tak menitik atas mak....

    Mak.....
Sampai takat ini surat ni kiter tulis.....
    kiter nangis ni.....
Ni kat dlm bilik...baru pukul 4.00 pagi....
    Takder orang yang bangun lagi.....
kiter dengar nasyid tajuk "anak soleh"
    kiter sedih...kiter rindu kat mak..!
    Takpa la.....nanti bila kita selesai
    sembahyang subuh, kiter baca yassin
    untuk mak...
    mak tunggu ya...!

    Hilangkan Prasangka dalam Diri...Husnudzhon lah

    Manusia hari ini suka bersangka-sangka
    Ada sangkaan baik..Ada sangkaan buruk
    Orang beribadah disangka riak
    Orang yang relax disangka malas
Orang yang pakai baju baru disangka menunjuk
Orang yang pakai baju buruk disangka zuhud (hina)
    Orang makan banyak disangka pelahap
    Orang makan sikit disangka kedekut

    Orang baik disangka buruk
    Orang buruk disangka baik
    Orang senyum disangka mengejek
    Orang masam disangka merajuk
    Orang bermuzakarah disangka mengumpat
    Orang diam disangka sombong

    Orang menawan disangka pakai susuk
    Orang nampak ceria disangka membela

    Prasangka
    Sangkaan
    Menyangka!

    Aduhai...dunia, dunia

    Jauhi sikap suka bersangka-sangka
Ia bakal memusnahkan ukhwah seperti musnah nya kayu dimakan api…

    Semuanya bergantung bagaimana kita melihatnya
Bukalah HATI dan bukan hanya MATA!!!

    ****************************************

Pastu mak sapu sampah sekeliling rumah
    bersih2....
    pastu mak jemur karpet-karpet...
pastu mak ubahkan sofa ke tempat

Akak dan abang kat kampong semua dah
    pujuk.....
    mak tetap takmau pi hospital.....
dan cuma tinggal giliran kiter sahaja
    yang belum pujuk...
Mak kata mak tak mau duduk dalam
    hospital.....
    tapi kiter berkeras juga pujukk..
nanti di hospital ada doktor...ada ubat
    untuk mak..
kat rumah kami hanya mampu sapu minyak
    dan urut jer..
    Mak tetap tak bersetuju.....mak memang
    degil...
tak salah, anak mak yang ni pon mengikut
    perangai mak tu..
Tapi akhirnya bila melihat keadaan mak
    makin teruk....
mak sakit perut sampai nak sentuh perut
mak pon sakit kami adik beradik
sepakat hantar juga mak ke hospital.....

    Salam; Greetings among muslims...

As all Muslims should know, the Islamic greeting is ‘Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi wa barakato’ (peace and mercy and blessings of God be upon you). For short, most Muslims say ‘Assalamu Alaykum’ (peace be upon you), then the Muslim replies back and says ‘wa alaykum assalam’ (and peace be upon you also). Here is a Quranic verse that talks about greeting…

    Surah 4:86

When ye are greeted with a greeting, greet ye with a better than it or return it. Lo! Allah taketh count of all things.

Ibn Abbas said: Whoever greeted you from the creation of Allah then return it back even if he was a Magian, for Allah said: When ye are greeted with a greeting, greet ye with a better than it or return it. Muhammad bin Bashar, said that Salim bin Nooh said that Saeed bin Abi Arooba said that Qatada said: That part of Allah’s statement “When ye are greeted with a greeting, greet ye with a better than it” is for the Muslims and that part of Allah’s statement “or return it” is for the People of the Book. Bashr Ibn Muath said that Yazid said that Sa’eed said that Qatada said: That part of Allah’s statement “When ye are greeted with a greeting, greet ye with a better than it” is for the Muslims and that part of Allah’s statement “or return it” is for the People of the Book. Bashr Ibn Muath said that Yazid said that Sa’eed said that Qatada said: That part of Allah’s statement “When ye are greeted with a greeting, greet ye with a better than it” you should greet better than you were greeted and this is only for the Muslims and that part of Allah’s statement “or return it” is for the People of the Book. Yunus told me that Ibn Wahab told him that Ibn Zayd said: That part of Allah’s statement “When ye are greeted with a greeting, greet ye with a better than it” my father said: It is a duty on every Muslim who is greeted (by a Muslim) to greet him back with a better greeting, and if he is greeted by other than a Muslim then he should greet back just like what was said to him.

    Here are some of the examples of whom should give the greetings first;

    Saheeh Bukhari

    Volume 8, Book 74, Number 250:

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "The young should greet the old, the passer by should greet the sitting one, and the small group of persons should greet the large group of persons. "

    Volume 8, Book 74, Number 252:

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "The riding person should greet the walking one, and the walking one should greet the sitting one, and the small number of persons should greet the large number of persons."

    Volume 8, Book 74, Number 252e:

    Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "The younger person should greet the older one, and the walking person should greet the sitting one, and the small number of persons should greet the large number of persons."

    When a non-muslims greet us with Assalamualaikum, we need to answer as Wa'alaikum. This is because of ;

    Saheeh Bukhari

    Volume 8, Book 74, Number 275:

    Narrated Anas bin Malik:

The Prophet said, "If the people of the Scripture greet you, then you should say (in reply), 'Wa'alaikum (And on you).' "

    Volume 8, Book 75, Number 404:

    Narrated 'Aisha:

The Jews used to greet the Prophet by saying, "As-Samu 'Alaika (i.e., death be upon you), so I understood what they said, and I said to them, "As-Samu 'alaikum wal-la'na (i.e. Death and Allah's Curse be upon you)." The Prophet said, "Be gentle and calm, O 'Aisha, as Allah likes gentleness in all affairs." I said, "O Allah's Prophet! Didn't you hear what they said?" He said, "Didn't you hear me answering them back by saying, 'Alaikum (i.e., the same be upon you)?"

Non-muslims at that time tend to say bad things about islam, yet prophet Muhammad(pbuh) did'nt want muslims to reply the christians with something worse than what they did, he just oredered us to reply them with Wa'alaika.. However, nowadays people tend to say salam carelessly that it may turned out to be something bad.. instead of saying Assalamualaikum, some people tend to say it quickly that it may somehow turn out to be similar to what the Christians said to Prophet Muhammad(pbuh).. Hence, pronounce salam carefully and clearly or you might end up hearing people answering your greetings as WAALAIKA.... Hopefully everyone take these as points to note. Eventhough it's a kinda simple things, but it is what we did/faced everyday... do everything as Allah's had asked us to, He is the Almighty and He knows everything.. Prophet Muhammad is the example to follow..Wallahu'alam....

The Boy & The Apple Tree

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, and took a nap under the shadow. He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.

"Come and play with me", the tree asked the boy.

"I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more" the boy replied.

"I want toys. I need money to buy them."

"Sorry, but I do not have money, but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money."

The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited.

"Come and play with me" the tree said.

"I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?"

"Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house". So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted.

"Come and play with me!" the tree said.

"I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?" said the man.

"Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy."

So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. "Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you", the tree said.

"No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite" the man replied.

"No more trunk for you to climb on".

"I am too old for that now" the man said.

"I really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots," the tree said with tears.

"I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years," the man replied.

"Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come sit down with me and rest."

The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.

This is a story (Parents Sacrifice for Children) of everyone. The tree is like our parents. When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad. When we grow up, we leave them; only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble.

No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted; we don't appreciate all they do for us, until it's too late.Wallahi May Allah forgives us of our shortcomings and may He guide us.

    Bayangkanlah...

Bayangkan apabila Rasulullah SAW tiba-tiba muncul mengetuk pintu chalet kita..

    Tapi..

    Barangkali kita terpaksa lari dahulu,

    memuliakan tetamu katakan~

Kemudian kita tetunya akan memberi harapan agar Rasulullah SAW sudi menginap

    beberapa hari di chalet kita.

    Tapi, sekali lagi tapi..

    barangkali kita meminta Rasulullah SAW menunggu sebentar di depan pintu;

    Kerana teringat bilik yang bersepah,

    sedangkan Islam itu mementingkan kebersihan.

cetek sangat pengetahuan pasal sirah perjuangan Rasulullah.

Barangkali kita berasa 'pelik' sedikit kerana terpaksa merendahkan suara

kerana dah terbiasa memekik-mekik dengan chaletmates.

Barangkali kita menjadi malu bila Rasulullah bertanyakan siapa presiden MUSCOM,

    Apalagi nak melaksanakan sunnah-sunnah baginda..

    Tahajjud? Oh, jauh sekali..

    BAYANGKANLAH. .

    Bayangkan Rasulullah ingin menjenguk kita..

    (Rujuk Kitab al-Majmu’ karangan Imam al-Nawawi, 4/558).

    (Hadis riwayat al-Bukhari (580), Muslim (608).

    WARKAH JANJI PEMIMPIN, RAKYAT MEMILIN

    DUHAI PEMIMPIN BARU,
    Janji ditabur wajib dilentur,

    Andai tak ditepati akur,
    Kelak fitnah kan terhambur,
    Rakyat kelam kalibut tidak teratur,
    Musnah peradaban tamadun hancur,
    Maruah dirimu terjunam terkubur,
    Maka, di akhiratkah,
    TUHAN mahu kau gempur?
    Lupakan...

    DUHAI PEMIMPIN KETUA,
    Janji bila dikota,

    Sealam bahagia terasa,
    Bila disulam keikhlasan bertimpa,
    Menyubur keamanan keredhaan Tuhan,
    Bila diri engkau rendahkan,
    Seangkasa tingkat darjat TUHAN naikkan,
    Bila tiba mata terpejam,
Perjalanan ke syurga terasa sekejap !

    Pasca Solatnya Jumaat

    Sembahyang Awal

He remembered his grandmother' s warning about praying on time:

'My son, you shouldn't leave prayer to this late time'. His grandmother' s age was 70 but, whenever she heard the Adhan, she got up like an arrow and performed Salah.

He, however could never win over his ego to get up and pray. Whatever he did, his Salah was always the last to be offered and he prayed it quickly to get it in on time.

Thinking of this, he got up and realized that there were only 15 minutes left before Salat-ul Isha. He quickly made Wudhu and performed Salat-ul Maghrib.

While making Tasbih, he again remembered his grandmother and was embarrassed by how he had prayed. His grandmother prayed with such tranquillity and peace.

He began making Dua and went down to make Sajdah and stayed like that for a while. He had been at work all day and was tired, very tired. He awoke abruptly to the sound of noise and shouting.

He was sweating profusely. He looked around. It was very crowded. Every direction he looked in was filled with people. Some stood frozen looking around, some were running left and right and some were on their knees with their heads in their hands just waiting. Pure fear and apprehension filled him as he realized where he was. His heart was about to burst.

It was the Day of Judgment.

When he was alive, he had heard many things about the questioning on the Day of Judgment, but that seemed so long ago. Could this be something his mind made up?

No, the wait and the fear were so great that he could not have imagined this. The interrogation was still going on. He began moving frantically from people to people to ask if his name had been called. No one could answer him. All of a sudden his name was called and the crowd split into two and made a passageway for him.

Two angels grabbed his arms and led him forward. He walked with unknowing
eyes through the crowd. The angels brought him to the centre and left him there. His head was bent down and his whole life was passing in front of his eyes like a movie. He opened his eyes but saw only another world. The people were all helping others. He saw his father running from one lecture to the other, spending his wealth in the way of Islam. His mother invited guests to their house and one table was being set while the other was being cleared. He pleaded his case, 'I too was always on this path. I helped others. I spread the word of Allah. I performed my Salah. I fasted in the month of Ramadhan.' 'Whatever Allah ordered us to do, I did.' 'Whatever he ordered us not to do, I did not.' He began to cry and think
about how much he loved Allah. He knew that whatever he had done in life would be less than what Allah deserved and his only protector was Allah He was sweating like never before and was shaking all over. His eyes were fixed on the scale, waiting for the final decision.

At last, the decision was made.

The two angels with sheets of paper in their hands, turned to the crowd. His legs felt like they were going to collapse. He closed his eyes as they began to read the names of those people who were to enter Jahannam.

    His name was read first.

He fell on his knees and yelled that this couldn't be, 'How could I go to Jahannam? I served others all my life, I spread the word of Allah to others.' His eyes had become blurry and he was shaking with sweat. The two angels took him by the arms. As his feet dragged, they went through the crowd and advanced toward the blazing flames of Jahannam. He was yelling and wondered if there was any person who was going to help him. He was yelling of all the good deeds he had done, how he had helped his father, his fasts, prayers, the Noble Qur'an hat he read, he was asking if none of them would help him.

The Jahannam angels continued to drag him.

They had gotten closer to the Hellfire. He looked back and these were his last pleas. Had not Rasulullah [SAW] said, 'How clean would a person be who bathes in a river five times a day, so too does the Salah performed five times cleanse someone of their sins?'

He began yelling, 'My prayers? My prayers? My prayers?'

The two angels did not stop, and they came to the edge of the abyss of Jahannam. The flames of the fire were burning his face. He looked back one last time, but his eyes were dry of hope and he had nothing left in him. One of the angels pushed him in. He found himself in the air and falling towards the flames. He had just fallen five or six feet when a hand grabbed him by the arm and pulled him back.
He lifted his head and saw an old man with a long white beard. He wiped some dust off himself and asked him, 'Who are you?'

The old man replied, 'I am your prayers.'

'Why are you so late?! I was almost in the fire! You rescued me at the last minute before I fell in.' The old man smiled and shook his head, 'You always performed me at the last minute, did you forget?'

At that instant, he blinked and lifted his head from Sajdah. He was in a sweat. He listened to the voices coming from outside. He heard the Adhan for Salat-ul Isha. He got up quickly and went to perform Wudhu.
